Privacy Policy for Daily Decision
This Privacy Policy explains how 4CTech, LLC (“4CTech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Android mobile application Daily Decision (the “App”). Daily Decision is a free decision utility that helps you choose among options using tools such as lists, a wheel, a coin flip, and dice.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
Daily Decision is published by 4CTech, LLC.
- Website: www.4ctech.io
- Contact: jim@4ctech.io
2. Summary
- Your decision titles, options, and results are stored only on your device. We do not upload that content to 4CTech servers.
- The App does not require a user account or login in version 1.0.
- The App uses the internet for advertising, analytics, in-app purchases, crash reporting, and opening links such as this Privacy Policy.
- We use Google services for ads (AdMob), analytics (Firebase Analytics), crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics), and purchases (Google Play Billing).
3. Information We Collect and How It Is Used
3.1 Information Stored Only on Your Device
The App stores the following locally on your device (for example, using on-device databases and preferences):
- Decision titles and option text you enter
- Decision history and related app preferences
- Whether you have purchased “Remove Ads”
This content is not uploaded to 4CTech servers. If you uninstall the App or clear App data, this local information may be permanently deleted and may not be recoverable.
3.2 Information Processed Through Google Services
When you use the App with an internet connection, certain technical and usage information may be processed by Google on our behalf or as an independent service provider, including:
- Advertising (Google AdMob): The App may display banner ads. AdMob may collect or receive device and advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and similar data to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, subject to Google’s policies and your device settings.
- Analytics (Firebase Analytics): We collect privacy-safe usage events (for example, feature usage and purchase-related events). We do not send decision titles, option text, or winning option text to analytics.
- Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics): If the App crashes, diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, App version, and stack traces) may be collected to help us fix bugs and improve stability.
- Purchases (Google Play Billing): If you buy the one-time “Remove Ads” product (product ID:
daily_decision_remove_ads), Google processes the purchase. We receive purchase status needed to unlock the feature; we do not receive your full payment card details.
3.3 Information We Do Not Collect in Version 1.0
- No user accounts or login credentials
- No deliberate collection of your decision titles, options, or winners on 4CTech servers
- No contact list, precise location, microphone, or camera access required for core App features
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share or disclose information only as follows:
- Service providers / third parties: Google (AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play Billing) as described in this Policy.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
5. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services that may collect or process data according to their own privacy policies, including Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing.
6. Data Retention
- Local App data: Retained on your device until you delete it within the App (where available), clear App data, or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and crash data: Retained by Google/Firebase according to their retention practices and our configuration.
- Purchase status: Associated with your Google Play account entitlement so “Remove Ads” can be restored on eligible devices.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect information processed through the App and related services. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. Protecting access to your device (for example, with a screen lock) is an important part of keeping local decision content private.
8. Children’s Privacy
Daily Decision is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, contact us at jim@4ctech.io.
9. Your Choices and Controls
- Local data: Delete decisions or App data on your device, or uninstall the App.
- Ads: Purchase the one-time “Remove Ads” product to disable AdMob banner ads. Device and Google account advertising settings may also affect personalized advertising.
- Internet: Without internet access, advertising, analytics, crash reporting, and purchases may be limited; local decision tools may still work.
10. International Users
The App is offered with a United States orientation. If you use the App from outside the United States, information processed by Google services may be handled in the United States or other countries where Google operates.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated Policy at this location. Continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
